Mental Health Outpatient Services

Who is Served?

You are served if you are an adult experiencing mental health problems or you are experiencing both mental health and substance use problems. If your primary language is Russian, you are served by clinical staff who speak Russian.

Why is this Service Offered?

The Outpatient Program helps you to resolve conflicts and overcome challenges as you make positive changes in your life and recover from mental illness and/or substance use.

PATH has been designated as an evidenced based provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and clinician receive training through the Beck Institute to provide high quality therapy services.

What is the Service?

  • You will meet privately with a professionally credentialed clinician who will listen to your concerns.
  • The clinician will help you identify areas in your life that you would like to change and help you develop a plan to make these changes.
  • You will meet regularly and be supported by the clinician as you take action to bring about these changes.
  • The clinician will arrange for you to see a PATH psychiatrist, if indicated.
  • You will meet with the psychiatrist who will complete an evaluation and may prescribe medication for you.
  • You may continue to see both the psychiatrist for medication appointments and the clinician for therapy.

Services are provided in the community, in your home, or wherever assistance and support is required.

Hours
The hours of operation for Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Outpatient services are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Saturday hours are available by telehealth from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Some specialized programs have expanded hours, but these are only available to individuals served in these programs, not to everyone seeking general mental health or substance use disorder services.

You are eligible to receive services if:

  • You reside in Philadelphia, and you have Medical Assistance (MA).
  • You reside in PATH’s service area, and you do not have health insurance.
  • If you have any other insurance or reside outside Philadelphia and speak Russian as your primary language, please call PATH to determine your eligibility.
