Therapist-Residential Treatment Facility (RTF)

Job Summary
Utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy,
Motivational Interviewing, and incorporating
attachment theories and recovery principles;
provide individual, group and family therapy in
addition to other clinical
interventions/services for young adult males
Specific Duties

Attend trainings on recovery, WRAP, psychiatric rehabilitation, trauma, attachment theories, motivational interviewing, Illness Management and Recovery, and Cognitive Behavior therapy.

Keep apprised of new research and developments in these areas through journals, web sites and literature.

Ensure that delivery of clinical treatment is congruent with models noted above. Provide motivational interviewing with all residents throughout the course of treatment and ensure residents and families receive education regarding mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse or other important behavioral health issues.

Provide individual therapy utilizing an integrated approach in addressing mental health and substance abuse issues. Be flexible in scheduling to meet resident and family needs.

Provide family therapy for each resident at a time and location convenient to the family.

Maintain on-going communication with each resident’s family.

Provide group therapy for residents to address identified needs such as loss, recovery, and relationships.

In conjunction with each resident, develop discharge plans and arrange resources defined in discharge plan.

Ensure all required documentation is completed in a timely, comprehensive and legible manner.

Complete all documentation required for continued stay reviews and/or other required documentation from funding source and internal PATH policies.

Consult with Psychiatrist(s) on a regular basis.

Consult and collaborate with all team members on a regular basis.

Collaborate with all systems involved with the residents and families.

On a rotating basis provide 24/7 emergency beeper coverage.

Be flexible in responding to program coverage needs.

Be aware of and follow PATH policies and procedures including those regarding confidentiality of treatment.

Participate in team meetings and case conferences.

Participate in supervision, trainings, and other assigned committees, or task forces.

Be aware of all applicable licensing regulations, funding requirements and agency procedures.

Contribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking, development, and data gathering as assigned.
Position Requirements
LSW/LCSW or Licensed Psychologist preferred in human services field with direct clinical experience working with young adults (CASSP system) preferably individuals with multiple occurring disorders. Physical examination required

Salary
$45,219 per Year / $21.74 per Hour
