Therapist - Alternate Education Program (AEP)

Type: Full Time (37.5 hrs./week)
(Note: 9 Month Position)

Job Summary

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.  Responsible for the delivery of clinical services to youth enrolled in alternative education programs and their families.  Such services include assessment, individual, group, couples and family therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and consultation for school staff.

Specific Duties

    • Provide direct treatment in individual, family and group therapy
    • Provide bio-psychosocial evaluations
    • Plan, implement and supervise therapeutic social/recreational activities as assigned
    • Provide consultation for AEP staff as assigned
    • Coordinate service provision with other treatment team members, AEP staff and other service systems involved with the student and his/her family
    • Be flexible in scheduling appointments to meet student/family needs
    • Provide in-home therapy sessions as required to meet student/family needs
    • Be aware of and follow PATH policies and procedures, especially in regards to confidentiality of treatment
    • Be aware of and follow policies and procedures of assigned school
    • Complete all required documentation including treatment plans, assessments, annual reviews, progress notes and discharge summaries in a comprehensive, timely and legible manner and in accordance with PATH policies and procedures
    • Participate in team meetings and case conferences
    • Participate in committees and task forces concerned with planning policies and procedures as required
    • Contribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking and data gathering as assigned
    • Meet productivity standards for your position

Qualifications

Master’s degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university.  Experience with children/youth/families.  License eligible.

Salary

$35,287 Annually  **9-Month Position Paid over 12 Months
