Residential Rehabilitation Specialist
Type: Full Time & Part Time
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide training for clients in social and independent living skills.
Monitor client medication. Responsible for the supervision and required
case management of SRS clients while in residence at the site, which
includes coordinating medical needs. Responsible for assuring people
receive all of the support they require as individuals and as a group
of persons sharing a home.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is active. Performed within the individuals’ home, as well as in the community. A variety of lifting and transfer supports for individuals may be required to ensure individuals’ mobility
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience preferred in working with individuals whom we support. Need to be respectful, sensitive, caring and patient. Must hold values to support psychiatrically impaired or emotionally disturbed individuals to maximize their independence and potential. Must be able to respond expediently to emergency situations. Must be able to physically lift and transfer individuals as required. Must get child abuse clearance.
Physical examination is required, including TB test by the intracutaneous mantoux method no more than six months prior to employment and every two years thereafter. A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required for certain positions.
Education Requirements
Minimum requirement of High School diploma. An A.A. degree plus experience or a B.A. degree in a related field is preferred.
