Program Supervisor II - SRS

Job Summary

Supervise the Residential Rehabilitation Specialist IV’s.  Monitor clients’ medications.  Review all paperwork.  Ensure all agency policies and procedures are followed.  Must be knowledgeable of and follow the State Regulations and OMH Guidelines for Behavioral Health Residential Programs.  Ensure all client information is communicated between Residential Staff, Program Director and the Treatment Team.  Help clients identify and accomplish goals on Residential Service Plans.

Specific Duties

  • Ensure all agency policies and procedures are followed.

  • Provide case management services as needed.

  • Supervise the daily activities of staff and clients at the site.

  • Maintain accurate, up to date records.

  • Assure that an appropriate, goal oriented Residential Service Plan has been developed for each client.

  • Provide individual, family and peer group counseling as indicated.

  • Teach clients how to use community resources, such as public transportation.

  • Maintain adequate program supplies.

  • Provide crisis intervention in accordance with agency procedures.

  • Be aware of clients’ financial liabilities, inform Agency Billing Department of any financial changes and help clients secure third party resources when needed.

  • Drive agency vehicle for program and use personal auto when needed.

  • Review paperwork to ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external standards.

  • Ensure that client medication is monitored in accordance with agency policy and procedures.

  • Communicate important client information and Supervisory Directives to Program Staff.

  • Be flexible with work schedule to meet the needs of residents, program and training requirements.

  • Keep Treatment Team members informed of all important information, meetings and appointments.

  • Ensure supervisor is informed and updated of site, staff and client issues.

  • Assure that residence is well maintained and kept clean.

  • Assure that clients are working towards accomplishing goals identified on the Residential Service Plan.

  • Ensure clients are placed in correct level of care.

  • Provide shift coverage when needed.

  • Provide on-call beeper coverage as assigned.

  • Inform PATH Facilities Department and Program Director of any facility problems.

  • Be responsible for the maintenance of inventory of all equipment, furnishings and utensils in the program.

  • Develop staff schedule.

  • Supervise admission process and ensure all agency procedures are followed when client moves in.

  • Complete annual evaluations of assigned staff.

  • Ensure all available vacancies are filled by interviewing and selecting prospective employees and recommending them for hire to the Human Resources Department.

  • Conduct orientation of new staff.

  • Approve vacation, personal and sick leave; process time sheets of staff under your supervision.

  • In conjunction with Human Resources, participate in related investigations.

  • Handle disciplinary problems by discussing them with your supervisor and the Human Resources Department.

  • Refer all requests for references to Human Resources due to liability reasons.

  • Ensure assigned staff are adequately trained in his/her job function.

  • Maintain regular communication with staff through on-going supervision.

Position Requirements

Experience working with psychiatrically impaired or related human service field.  Valid driver’s license.  Use of personal automobile.  Physical exam and T.B. test no more than six months prior to employment and every two years thereafter.  Excellent demonstrable oral and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

BA degree in psychology, counseling, social work, human services or related area.

Behavioral Health Residential Program – Specialized Residential Services - 8220 Castor Avenue and various residential sites Northeast Philadelphia

Schedule

40 Hours per Week

Salary

$31,283 per Year / $15.04 per Hour
