Associate Program Director Behavioral Health Residential Treatment Facility

Job Summary

Provide clinical and supervisory leadership for Residential Treatment Program serving young adults including weekend coverage on a rotating basis.

Specific Duties

  • Attend trainings on recovery concepts; WRAP; psychiatric rehabilitation, trauma and attachment theories, motivational interviewing and Cognitive Behavior therapy. Keep apprised of new research and developments in these areas through journals, web sites and literature.
  • Ensure that delivery of services by all staff is congruent with models noted above.
  • Schedule staff to ensure adequate program coverage and appropriate resident rehabilitation assignments.
  • Manage petty cash management system per agency policy and procedures.
  • Assure that the program’s housekeeping, dietary, and other basic life needs are being met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the community to foster being a good neighbor.
  • Assure compliance with all applicable licensing regulations; funding requirements and agency procedures.
  • Ensure all staff are working collaboratively and as a team.
  • Provide regular individual and group supervision of staff to include regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Assure that vacancies are filled by interviewing and recommending selected candidates for hire to the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide site orientation for new staff.
  • Complete job performance appraisals for staff.
  • Approve leave requests and process time sheets as per agency policy and procedure.
  • Handle disciplinary issues by discussing them with your supervisor and the Human Resources Department.
  • Oversee the budget and approve all expenditures through appropriate channels.
  • Ensure all required documentation, including incident reports, is completed in a timely, comprehensive and legible manner.
  • Consult with Psychiatrist(s) on a regular basis.
  • On a rotating basis provide 24/7 emergency coverage.
  • Be aware of and follow PATH policies and procedures including those regarding confidentiality of treatment.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
  • Participate in supervision, trainings and other assigned committees or task forces.
  • Contribute to any quality improvement/outcome measurement tracking, development, and data gathering as assigned.

Position Requirements

Direct clinical experience working with youth or young adults, preferably individuals with multiple occurring disorders. Supervisory experience preferred. LSW, LCSW or licensed psychologist preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicle.

Education Requirements

Masters Degree in Human Service field.

Salary

$47,528 to $52,499 per Year - $22.85 to $25.24 per Hour
